Box from Germany

Right before Christmas we got a package from Germany, loaded with goodies. The package came from the Wendalls. Read on to see what we got.

The first thing out of the box was a package of African Blue coffee from Tchibo. We miss the Tchibo stores in Germany, which sold coffee and a very odd blend of other things, from kitchen-wares to computers. Their inventory changed monthly, so you never knew what you would get when you walked in.

Eggs?!? Whataheck? Why would anyone send us eggs from Germany? Wouldn't they be spoiled? Rotten?

Oh! Kinder Eggs! We love kinder eggs. Chocolate over a plastic shell with a toy inside. They would never be allowed in the U.S. because the small parts would kill American kids, but apparently German kids are immune to such things.

Yummy! Lets eat the Chocolate and play with the toy!

Even Senaca got stuff in our box from Germany. We also got some German spaetzle (pasta) and sauce mixes, so we cooked ourselves a German meal. It may not look great, but it tasted wonderful. Thanks Wendalls!

Seneca at one and the girls doing art

This is our Seneca at one year old picture. We got the picture done at Wal-Mart. We wanted to get a picture of her standing like we had done for the other two girls, but Wal-Mart has a policy that the kids can't stand on the platform they use to take pictures. Something about liability, darned lawyers are ruining everything. We are trying to find the outfit the other two girls used when we took the photo so we can do it ourselves. You may (or may not) be able to see a slight red tinge to Seneca's hair. The thought of a red-haired daughter makes Gia very happy, but she claims the red tinge is my over active imagination.

This is Giana doing an art project. She is painting a knick-knack cozy to hang on her wall. You can tell she gets her artistic talent from her father.

This is Eowyn working on the same art project. Gia bought the things from Michaels for the girls to do an art project. They are both now hanging in their bedrooms.

1st of Many Posts

Hello family and friends,

As most of you can tell its Gia typing, not Shawn. Our good friend does one of these Blogs, and its soo much fun to see her up dates. This should be much easyer for you all to keep track of us all, I hope.

We took a trip to the Great Wolf Lodge this weekend and the kids loved it. It has a huge indoor water park, and lots of other fun things for the kids to do. Giana was fearless when it came to the water slides, Eowyn was wisely cautious (Shawn says chicken) and the Baby did not like any of it. Giana was born in the water and we took the Girls to schwimbads in Germany all the time. It has been a very long time since Seneca has been swimming.

As most of the family has heard Eowyn lost her 1st tooth on the trip.
