New Countertops

Our new countertops were installed today.  They came a day late because of the snow.  Here is the before shot, with our old, bad countertops.

Here are the countertops, with integrated sink, in front of the house.  You can see all of our
snow in the background.
Our old countertops and backsplash had to be removed.
There were two workers from the countertop place and one plumber
Here are the new countertops.  The color is Sea Foam Quartz.  The countertops are made by LG, a Korean company, which means that the Gordons have two Korean cars, two Korean cell phones, a Korean Blu-Ray player, and Korean countertops.
We like them!

Seneca

Seneca turned three yesterday.  She had some neighborhood kids over for her birthday party.  We couldn't go anywhere because of the snow.

Seneca and her Dora cake, which was a family effort to make.

Seneca and the chef outfit grandma Joy gave to her.
Seneca and her Dora rocking horse.
Seneca's first haircut EVER!  She had five hairs dangling into her eyes, and her curlies were getting long in the back.
Happy Birthday to Seneca!

Snow Day

You don't get many snow days in Western Washington, so when you do get one, you have to take advantage.  We have a snow hill near our house, and the girls got to sled down the hill.  We had our old school wooden sleds, which were a big hit, and a new blow up snow donut.  All the girls went down, even Sarafina.  Seneca was very brave.

Happy One Birthday / More naught baby

Sarafina turned one year old today.  She had a good birthday, and enjoyed opening her presents with her sisters.  Her favorite gift was the box of tissues mommy gave her that she pulled out and scattered around the house.

This is an outfit that all four girls have worn.  Sarafina looks good.

The naughty baby crawled into the dishwasher.

Here is a video of us singing happy birthday to the baby.

Eowyn Brownie Induction

Eowyn went through her Brownie induction last night. It was pretty cute, and they had a little play first. Eowyn had multiple parts, and performed magnificently.

November Catch-up

Family and Friends, we haven't posted any pictures for awhile, so I am trying to catch up.  Here is a picture of Grandma with the girls.

This is Eowyn's birthday.  She turned 8 on November 7th.  I can hardly believe it.
This is our baby, who is cruising but not really walking yet.

Great Wolf Loadge

We went to the Great wolf Lodge in Grand Mounds WA which is only like 22 miles away. We had a great time. The girls all loved it. There was a dance party till 10:00 and you would think that swimming and dancing all day and night would tire the girls out but it still too over an hour to get them all to sleep.

When Shawn came home on R&R leave we had to get a new stove. Just a few days after he got home this time the Fridge started to get wormer and wormer, and the microwave is going crazy. The washing machine is also acting crazy, but I think that just may need a tune up. We choose a much bigger Fridge and it did not fit. But after some creative work with new power tools we now have a Fridge tightly wedged into the space. Yesterday AM when I still had a huge black appliance in the middle of my kitchen, the 7 year old from next door came into the house and said "wow that is a huge Refrigerator". Shawn replied with "shut up Keegan". The good news is we now have a working bigger fride, and I need new counter tops. As a result of the new power tools. Not sure this is the type of stuff Shawn wanted to spend his deployment money on.
