Eowyn had Earth Day at school and is driving me crazy with recycling. We did much more recycling in Germany where it is the law to recycle, but we have been a little lazy in the U.S. We were going to choose Bamboo flooring for our old house but it did not work out. We are right away going to change out the light bulbs for more earth friendly ones when me move. I just found out that there are bamboo sheets. (see below) We learned a lot about bamboo at the DC zoo of all places and we are thinking of growing it next year. If anyone has any ideas for our family please pass them on.
Bamboo fiber has officially entered the mainstream. Bed, Bath and Beyond now offers these sheets made of 100% bamboo fiber with a thread count of 230. Bamboo is one of the softest fabrics in the world — softer than cotton but with a drape like silk. It comes from a rapidly renewable resource that doesn't require pesticides to grow. The sheet sets cost between $39-$99. :: Bed, Bath
